Where do you live? is it North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia or Antarctica? We all know one another. We know that there are 7 continents in the world. We all grow up with this thought. But how many of us are aware of the lost continent of Mu.
We have various authors who described the mythical lost continent of Mu in their various writings.
The alternative term used for this lost continent is the Continent of Lemuria. Some believe that both Mu and Lemuria are the same while some consider them as separate land.
Various evidence was found which shows the presence of this mysterious and lost island in the Indian ocean. Its civilization flourished 50,000 years ago and believed that this civilization was more advance than the other ancient civilization.
According to the writer- Augustus Le Plongeon, Mu is an ancient lost continent that existed 12,000 years ago. He believed that this was located in the Atlantic ocean.
James Churchward was one in his 20s who wrote the first book about Mu i.e.THE LOST CONTINENT ON MU, MOTHERLAND OF MEN in 1926. He wrote a series of books on Mu. He believed that this was positioned in the Pacific ocean.
During his travelling, he met an Indian priest. His writings were based on the tablet given by the priest. This tablet is about the lost continent of Mu. He and the priest go through the tablet. He described Mu as being located in the pacific ocean and believed that the Mu is a Garden of Eden. He linked all the civilizations to the Mu i.e. all civilizations is originated from Mu.
He said that this continent was destroyed or collapsed in a single night by a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. All people here were gone. The continent is sunken below sea level.
Today’s scenario
At present, the majority of scientific pieces of evidence suggested that human life has begun in Africa.
The existence of Mu is completely discounted by modern science based on knowledge about geographical tectonic plates. Scientists have not found major events on the oceanic floors which show the existence of the continent of mu.
Still, we have a mystery regarding the presence of this lost continent of Mu.
